With so many options available, players can pick and choose the precise experience they want to have in their game. While The Sims 4 was a little barren when it first released, the game’s copious expansions have done a lot to flesh out the game. Players have been returning to the franchise for two decades, and each game offers its own unique spin on simulated life. “More than ever, people are using Facebook to participate in their local communities. In the same week that it was reported that Nextdoor is reportedly gearing up to go public, Facebook has started to test a Nextdoor clone, Neighborhoods, which suggests Facebook-generated Neighborhood groups (with a capital N, more on that below) local to you to join to connect with people, activities and things being sold in the area. Using social networks to connect with neighbors and local services has surged during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Facebook - with 2.7 billion users globally - is now looking at how it can tap into that in a more direct way. I expect some amount of fan service, by serving up the stats for characters and items from Star Wars Rebels and Rogue One, but I also expected more than this. This has limited use for a GM writing a story or campaign - the stats for the prototype of the B-wing shown in an episode of Rebels? Really? Star Wars is a huge un For the steep price asked by my FLGS I expected more from this. For the steep price asked by my FLGS I expected more from this. |
